Join us for a night of exciting musical cocktail of an amusing and compelling entertainment at the ‘goings-on’ in London’s first luxury hotel, The Savoy!
Opening in 1889, the hotel attracted the most glittering stars of the era - the painters, writers and artistes of its time. The fabulous singers/performers Louise Winter, William Hancox and Karen Drury bring to life the incredible moments and stories from the Strand, meeting the renowned characters who strolled through the revolving doors of this iconic hotel, illustrated with slides of the places and personalities.

Performers:
Louise Winter
Louise began her career at Glyndebourne Festival Opera and then sang internationally. Yet most notably Louise is proud of her Work at the Royal Opera House, Scottish Opera, Opera North and ENO, always singing principal roles. She has recorded for the BBC and Hyperion Records.
William Hancox. After a degree at Cambridge, Will studied with Hungarian pianist Joseph Weingarten, a student of Dohnanyi, Barton and Kodaly. His career as an accompanist, chamber musician and soloist has taken him all over the UK, Europe and the Far East, from London’s South Bank to the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing.
Karen Drury. After training at RADA, Karen worked extensively in the theatre in classical and comedy roles working with Nicholas Hytner and Alan Ayckbourn, favourite roles being Natalya Petrovna in Tugenev’s A Month in the Country and Laura in Brief Encounter. Television work includes David Nobbs' A Bit Of A Do and the ill fated Susannah in Brookside for which she was nominated for a BAFTA. Film work includes Attenborough’s Cry Freedom and Still Life with Eddie Marsan
