//ETHAN MITCHELL//
Ethan is an Ottawa based songwriter, singer, and guitarist. He plays antique and original music inspired by his roots in the Ottawa Valley. While his guitar playing is steeped in old-time traditions, his writing is rife with aphorisms and little comforts for the modern age. He writes about cowboys, country folk, city folk, lonesome folk, friendly folk, and anything that rouses his imagination. His debut album, Western Movies released in March 2025, and is available now wherever you like to listen to music.

//DALTON CAREW//
A singer-songwriter emerging in Ottawa, Dalton’s sound is shaped by the tangle of his hometown in the west, his roots in the Maritimes, and an upbringing throughout Southern Ontario—a restless friction of division, which he has come to defiantly embrace.
Forming the cornerstone of his compositions, he uses lyrical and melodic tension as he balances strength and tenderness while leaning into ornamentation like Celtic trills or the cowboy’s yodel. With a voice as unrefined as it is earnest, his sound carries the wear and tear of countless nights spent busking in markets, streets, and parking garages with his battered steel guitar.
Drawing influence from folk legends like Ewan MacColl and Woody Guthrie, Dalton channels this raw energy into his performances, be it on the street, in a pub, or at a café.
//TOPANGA//
Topanga is an all-female indie-folk St. John's supergroup! Singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Katie Baggs, Carole Bestvater, and Valmy have found a rare kind of magic in each other, using three-part harmonies, acoustic guitar, five-string violin, double bass, and piano as conduits for exploring arrangements of their solo work. This group is about joining forces through friendship and collaboration to elevate their original songs and the messages they carry.
//LEN O'NEILL//
Len O’Neill is a singer-songwriter from St. John’s, Newfoundland, who first made his mark playing guitar and bass in local rock bands. He went on to front Green & Gold, an award-winning indie group that released two albums and toured the East Coast. These days, Len’s focus is on lyric-driven solo work that explores themes like ambition, interpersonal relationships, and personal growth.
His debut solo album, Out of View, marks a shift toward a more vulnerable, storytelling style.
Here’s what songwriter John Moran has to say about Len’s work:
“He’s got songs that are meaningful in a way that most songwriters struggle to achieve, he’s not just stringing together a bunch of lyrics and chords that sound cool – he’s speaking from the heart and giving you something you might need. He writes in the way that you’d hope to be spoken to by a good friend during a challenging time.”
