About the event

Meet the Parsons: Witchcraft in Early Springfield
Witchcraft was real to Mary and Hugh Parsons. The pair married in 1645 at Springfield’s first Meetinghouse but six years later, they faced the town’s accusations of witchcraft in the same place. Join Springfield Museum’s Curator of History Elizabeth Kapp as she explores the world of witchcraft in early Springfield and the stories featured in the exhibit Witch Panic! Massachusetts Before Salem.
