June marks a significant milestone for Tabitha's Way Local Food Pantry—15 years of dedicated service to individuals and families facing food insecurity in Utah County. Founded in June 2010, Tabitha's Way was inspired by the biblical story of Tabitha, a woman known for her charitable works. Starting from a modest location in Spanish Fork, the pantry has grown to serve thousands, providing temporary food assistance and promoting self-reliance.
The celebration will feature live music, family-friendly activities, food, and opportunities to engage with our mission. As part of our goal to foster community involvement, we're aiming to collect 1,500 "No Hunger Pledges" during the event. Become a No Hunger Champion by taking the No Hunger Pledge.
Can't make the celebration? Here are other ways you can participate all month long!
1. Engage Online: Follow us on social media throughout June to learn fun facts about food insecurity, answer trivia questions, and enter to win prizes. You can also help by sharing our newsletter with friends and family to spread awareness.
2. Donate Food: During June, help us reach our goal of collecting 15,000 pounds of food by donating non-perishable items at your local library, recreation center, or city offices. Many libraries are hosting food drives as part of their Summer Reading Programs! Follow our Facebook Food Drive Event page for participating locations
3. Give Financially: Every dollar makes a difference. Support our mission by making a financial contribution—just click "Give Hope" above to donate quickly and securely. Our goal is to raise $30,000—enough to provide 150,000 additional meals for our neighbors in need. Every contribution helps ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.”
