DEEP DIVE INTO HISTORY: Maritime Weapons of the 18th Century

From merchants to privateers, from swivel guns to bar shot – learn how those on the high seas protected themselves and their cargo as they navigated open waters.

This event is part of the museum’s Deep Dive Into History series, programs designed to give visitors a deeper understanding of our shared past through costumed interpretation. Each Deep Dive delves into a specific theme in Lower Cape Fear and maritime history. Programs run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and visitors can interact one-on-one with the presenter at any time during the program.
