Authors @ Your Library: “That’s Why They Call it Practice” by Dr. Ed Migneco

Dr. Ed Migneco will join us to discuss his book, “That’s Why They Call it Practice,” where he shares heartwarming, humorous, and sometimes dramatic stories from his 30-plus years working as a veterinarian at Hillside Animal Hospital in St. Louis. The book provides a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges and rewards of working with animals, particularly stray and feral populations, and offers readers a glimpse into the everyday life of a dedicated vet. Through his engaging anecdotes, Dr. Ed highlights both the joys and the complexities of veterinary medicine while reflecting on his volunteer work with local animal welfare organizations. Books will be available to purchase with card or cash.
