On the weekend of the 27th & 28th September, The Big Little Steam Rally comes to town! To close off our daily running season for 2025 we’re bringing the curtain down with a fun filled weekend of Little Steam, doing BIG things! The fun doesn’t just arrive by rail, we’re bringing you a good dose of steam on the road as well! Our train services will be handled by some of our smallest residents at the ELMR, and healthy amount of Visiting Steam, as well as a small gathering of miniature Steam Lorries and Traction Engines for good measure!
Trains will be running to an intensive timetable, with some of our well known favourite special trains thrown in across the weekend, such as our popular Lakes Express, Parallel Runs and a concluding mega train to end the weekend. The Road Steam Locomotives will be dotted around Eastleigh Parkway on display to see up close, as well as no doubt venturing on the odd trundle along the winding paths of Lakeside Country Park, so keep your eyes and ears out for them!
