Dr. Lew Cohen: Medical Grand Rounds - Dementia and Death

Our special guest in May will be Dr. Lewis Cohen, Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus at Tufts University. He is invited to the UCSD Medical School to deliver Medical Grand Rounds on the subject of Death and Dementia. Dr. Cohen will be giving the second annual Faye Girsh Endowed Lecture on Medical Aid in Dying. You can hear him at noon on Wednesday, May 21st, at the VA Hospital, 3350 La Jolla Village Dr, Room 3004. His talk will be aired on Zoom and the link will be posted on our website. This is sure to be a fascinating program.

Dr. Cohen has received numerous literary and academic honors. His latest book is Winter's End: Dementia and Dying Well - Oxford University Press (July 15, 2024). He is also the author of No Good Deed: A Story of Medicine, Murder Accusations, and the Debate Over How We Die -- Harper, 1st edition (March 2, 2010); and A Dignified Ending: Taking Control Over How We Die -- Rowman & Littlefield Publishers (August 8, 2023).
