One-of-a-Kind prints that capture the beauty of nature.
Ecoprinting is a natural dyeing technique that has been used for centuries all over the world using renewable and sustainable natural materials. One of the most exciting elements of ecoprinting is the surprise factor – a colour in nature may not always match the colour printed. Colours, prints, effects will change with the season, with plants collected, and with the preparation of the fabric.
Nora will guide workshop participants in collecting local plant materials through respectful foraging around the Museum, then bundling, and steaming fabric and plant materials to make unique prints. Each participant will print 2 bundles during this workshop, learning the technique to do more on their own.
Eco-printing is a rewarding process that invites you to connect with your natural environment while creating uniquely printed fabric.
