About the event

Hike with Pride

Hike with Pride at one of Bur Oak's largest preserves and learn about the often-overlooked history of LGBTQ+ individuals who have helped shape conservation efforts. Amanda Stallman, Bur Oak Education Coordinator and member of the LGBTQ+ community, will lead the casual hike at Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.

The hike is free and open to the public — all identities and allies are welcome!

You can learn more about this hike and other Bur Oak events and programs next weekend at Iowa Arts Festival! Stop by RAYGUN downtown Iowa City between 12-4 p.m. Saturday, June 7 to catch up with Amanda.
