Wet Felt Basket or Bowl on a Ball Class

Come and learn how to use a ball as a resist to create a beautifully decorated, wet felt basket or bowl. Baskets and bowls can be used for storage or are popular as plant pots or a decorative item.

This class uses a felting ball as a resist to create a large, open, basket with side handles or a large bowl without handles. You will have access to all kinds of fun embellishments to decorate your piece which may include yarns, sari silk waste, silk luster fibers, bamboo fibers, and more.

Wet felting is quite an energetic activity so expect to be standing up and moving your upper body a lot. The class is a full day, 8 to 9 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting wet.

Using a ball as a resist is an intermediate level skill and can be very fiddly. A basic understanding of welt felting and using a resist is necessary as a foundation for advancing to this next level.
