MADE IN LESHTEN VOL. 4
В свят на ускорена урбанизация и дигитално пренасищане, проектът Made in Leshten предлага не бягство, а завръщане – към природата, тишината, първичния ритъм на съществуването. За четвърта година, група млади визуални артисти се оттеглят за двуседмична резиденция в село Лещен, където времето се сгъстява, а сетивата се изострят. Там природата не е просто фон – тя е партньор, материал, мисловен събеседник.
Проектът Made in Leshten, иницииран от галерия Little Bird Place съвместно с Art and Culture Today, се утвърди като успешен модел за откритие и подкрепа на млади български съвременни художници, изкушени от тематичния фокус на галерията. Изложбата е кулминация на това взаимодействие, а участници тази година са Боря Шапшалова, Елеонора Едрева, Илджан Исметов - pilci ilci, Никола Цветанов и Тодор Рабаджийски.
Разнородните произведения, от живопис и скулптура до дигитален печат, фотография и смесени техники, очертават открит диалог с природната среда и особеностите на местността. Свободомислие, експеримент, суров творчески импулс, поднесени в съзвучие – като растеж, като динамичен жест на внимание. Изкуство, което не доминира, а резонира – с почвата, с въздуха, с времето.

In a world of accelerated urbanization and digital oversaturation, the Made in Leshten project offers not an escape, but a return — to nature, to silence, to the primordial rhythm of existence. For а fourth year, a group of young visual artists withdrew for a two-week residency in the village of Leshten, where time thickens and the senses sharpen. There, nature is not merely a background — it is a partner, a material, a conversational companion of thought.
Initiated by Little Bird Place Gallery in collaboration with Art and Culture Today, the Made in Leshten programme has established itself as a successful model for discovering and supporting young Bulgarian contemporary artists who are drawn to the thematic focus of the gallery. This year’s exhibition marks the culmination of that interaction, presenting works by Borya Shapshalova, Eleonora Edreva, Ildzhan Ismetov - pilci ilci, Nikola Tsvetanov, and Todor Rabadzhiyski.
The diverse artworks — from painting and sculpture to digital print, photography, and mixed media — create an open dialogue with the natural surroundings and the particularities of the landscape. Free thinking, experimentation, raw creative impulse — all rendered in harmony: like growth, like a dynamic gesture of attention. Art that does not dominate, but resonates — with the soil, the air, with time itself.
We invite you to Little Bird Place, transformed into a space of reflection and inner pause, into a mental and sensorial environment that encourages calm contemplation. A laboratory for current directions in contemporary art inspired by natural, social, and ecological processes.
