Ron McKewon Art on Exhibit August 5-Sept 14

The Betty Strong Encounter Center is pleased to bring the wonderful artwork of Ron McKewon to its main gallery. His exhibition opens Tuesday, August 5 and runs until Sunday, September 14. The free exhibit is open to view during normal business hours.

Ron McKewon grew up in the Midwest along the banks of the Big Sioux River in Sioux City, Iowa. He is a graduate of the Famous Artist Course (correspondence) and the Washington School of Fine Art, where he studied illustration, life drawing, sculpting, landscape, and wildlife painting.

He has participated in many national art shows such as Nebraska Land Days in North Platte, Nebraska; River City Round Up in Omaha, Nebraska; Jim Savage Western and Wildlife Art Show in Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Art at the Depot in Onawa, Iowa; and Yankton Riverboat Days in Yankton, South Dakota.
