National Trails Day Volunteer Event

Join park staff in clearing the way for the new Fire Line Trail! Over the course of four hours, volunteers will help with tree removal, landscaping, and trash cleanup along the Window Cliffs grassland unit.
Once complete, the 0.85-mile Fire Line Trail will guide hikers through a scenic grassland prairie and into a mesic forest, where they can encounter a variety of wildlife and plant life.
We recommend wearing sturdy shoes and long pants. Please bring work gloves. If you do not have any, we may be able to provide them.
Please bring water, lunch, and snacks to sustain yourself while we work.
