Rising Stars has rebranded, moved home and evolved, bringing you a bold new format and an unforgettable live music experience.
This isn’t just any gig or a showcase, it’s a curated night of serious emerging bands from Brighton, London and beyond.
Expect hand-picked acts with huge potential, high quality audio, and an environment designed to elevate artists and captivate audiences. Quality is key!
A L P H A B E T is second to none!
Rising Stars will run approximately every 2 to 3 months with carefully selected lineups that highlight the very best breakout bands and new talent as we discover it. Some shows may open with intimate acoustic or vocal led sets, keeping the focus on genuine artistry throughout but with the main focus on bands with energy and a super vibe to keep you focused.
Here’s what’s in store..
Matilda Grace (London)
With 2025 debut singles 'Not Your Ex Yet' and 'I'd Rather Miss You', Matilda Grace blends pop rock with a vocal edge that hints at punk influences. Drawing inspiration from Lily Allen, Blondie, Olivia Rodrigo and The Killers, her strength lies in powerful songwriting and emotionally driven delivery. From razor sharp verses to punchy choruses, her music is unapologetic and real. Matilda has been making waves in London and online so here she is in her full glory!
Joe Little (Brighton)
Joe Little’s music spans folk, left field pop with at times a very rocky punch. His experimental energy and genre blending sound defy easy categorisation. Recent singles like 'Ordinary', 'Stars', and 'Loving For the First Time' (featuring King Tear) have earned him critical acclaim including a BBC 6 Music playlist slot and praise from Clash Music for his “astonishingly potent” style. Expect a spellbinding performance, whether stripped back acoustic or full band energy. Joe is one to seriously keep on the radar!
Lewis Monticelli (Brighton)
Taking his first solo steps after performing in an alt rock band, Lewis draws on 90s grunge while exploring more delicate, introspective sounds. Influenced by Elliott Smith, Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake, he delivers emotionally rich, lyrically honest songs that balance vulnerability with raw edge. Lewis returns to Rising Stars by popular demand but this time with his new band by his side, this is a band debut you won’t want to miss.
Save the Date: Our Rising Stars Christmas Party lands on 18th December 2025 – lineup includes The Beyene Affair / Isis and the Shenanigans and more TBA (tickets on sale soon).
