Have A Seat: AIAVT Furniture Design Competition

This is an event for individuals or teams. There is no limit to team size. Gather your tools and discarded materials and prepare to build a one-of-a kind piece. We’re saving our scraps from the landfill and offering hand-crafted, durable furnishings to Vermonters.

Entries must use a majority of reclaimed, reused, and recycled material. A jury will score pieces on Creativity, Innovation, Aesthetics, and Functionality

There will be an overall winner of the competition, and a People's Choice award winner.

This year’s theme: single-occupant seating apparatus

Schedule:

Friday, June 20th

• 3 pm-4:30 pm: Drop off entries to the Historic Shelburne Town Hall
• 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm: Reception & Pre-auction Showcase

Saturday, June 21st

• 12 pm exhibit opens to the public
• 3 pm Judges announce the winners
• 3:30 pm Live Auction

June 22nd

• All buyers must pick up their items by 10 am
