The third generation to pursue music in her family, jazz and blues are deeply rooted in Olivia’s heritage, and she’s heavily influenced by the sounds of New Orleans, drawing inspiration from Louis Armstrong and Dr John as well as the song writing of Nina Simone and Randy Newman. Her sound is rich with soul and seamlessly blends composition, story telling and improvisation, gleaming with conviction and character.
With her for this gig is a wonderful line-up of the finest creative talents emerging from the UK jazz scene, Issey Chivers (vocals), Josh Vadiveloo (bass guitar), Tom Harris (piano) and Miles Pillinger (drums).
Resonant, dramatic and memorable new music from a musician and a band making an impact on the UK jazz scene. Olivia's last appearance with her quintet at The Lescar was a really special evening, this will be a wonderful gig, please join us!
