Zaireeka Party and art exhibition by Chrissa Star

Join us for a truly unique listening session of Zaireeka, an album by The Flaming Lips, Friday June 13! Four stereos placed in the main room will play music by the band throughout the evening. Also featuring an art exhibition by @chrissastar, live painting, and more!

From Chrissa's bio:

Chrissa Star is a cross-disciplinary artist based in Seattle and is best known for her large figurative drawings and colorful abstract paintings. Her works often depict and celebrate diverse women with an alluring hint of mystery: hidden secrets, stories, and traumas. Her figurative works merge symbolism and abstract expressionism, with Star citing Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele as major influences. In her paintings, you can expect to find hammered nails, broken glass, and glitter, as well as techniques including blowtorching, chemical testing, and homemade encaustic medium.
