Come audition for The Rocketeers! We'll being doing a summer of leveling up, featuring classic lindy hop choreo like California routine and the Tranky Doo, as well as a focus on fitness for dance, and leveling up technique and tricks.
Summer season is June 23-August 25. There may be opt-in performances available throughout the summer.
This summer is intended to provide a chance for folks of intermediate and above lindy hop skill levels to experience a performance team and learn the skills needed to thrive in this environment.
This won't be the usual Original-Choreo-Per-Season thing. We are training hard this summer so we can really send it this fall leading up to Stormy Weather! The team is coached by Ben White and Ariel Goh. Feel free to reach out to either with questions.
Auditions will be on Monday, June 23 during our usual meeting time from 7-9 at Theater Puget sound, right by the Space needle.
Auditions are open to all. Please bring a partner! If you don't have a partner you are still welcome to attend, but we can't guarantee you'll have someone to audition with.
Enrollment in the Rocketeers for a given season does not ensure future acceptance. Auditions are required every season.
To get to the rehearsal space, go to the Seattle Center Armory (305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109) and head to the elevators all the way on the north side of the building. Go up to the 4th floor and we'll be there to meet you! We're in the room called Theater 4.
Parking can be a little tricky, and the building locks at 8, so make sure to budget a little extra time if it's your first time at TPS.
