Swung OUT! @ The Clock-Out
This year in honor of Pride Month, Queer Swing Seattle is excited to partner with The Clock-Out Lounge on Beacon Hill to bring you a new vibe in queer positive social dance space through our one night only pride jazz club and Lindy Hop dance party celebrating us all!
Sunday, June 15th!
What to expect:
- Doors open at 7pm
- 30 minute beginner lesson at 7:30pm if you haven't ever Lindy Hopped before, don't worry we'll show you!
- Band starts at 8pm
- Our intro lesson is taught "Everyone Leads Everyone Follows" to keep gender based power dynamics out of social dancing!
- Don't want to dance? Come chill and listen to great jazz music, have a cocktail and watch the performances!
- Our queer led swing band, Christian Pincock's Baseless Accusation, has curated 3 sets of amazing swing music featuring queer jazz artists past and present!
- In between band breaks we will have lots of fun activities and performances: Lindy Hop, jazz, blues, burlesque, and even the chance to try out some line dancing!
- Full bar and with slices available by Stevie's Famous Pizza
- A portion of our proceeds will be donated to Gender Justice League
- The party wraps at 11:30pm
