Class will start off by learning a classic line dance that is popular among the Queer Country scene, and flow into a simple Lindy Hop progression that we infuse with rhythm to help us access the music, the partnership, and the groove.
This workshop aims to leave you feeling extra confident on the dance floor, as we draw connections between different Social Dance scenes to help us express Queerness to the fullest.
Info: Without the Blues, Jazz wouldn't be what it is. Despite their intimate historical relationship, many dancers today separate them and even look down on the Blues. Come learn what makes the Blues so special and what it has to teach Swing Dancer of all backgrounds both technically and culturally!
