Connecting Kids to Nature

We’re excited to be piloting a new program for older children. ‘Connecting Kids to Nature’ will run the second Friday of the month, April 11, May 9 and June 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.. This will be a drop-in program, so families can stop by anytime. Steve Jones will lead a nature walk for kids and families at 5 p.m. during each session. We will offer creative activities that encourage curiosity and participation in conservation, such as ‘pollinator games’ and making homes for Mason Bees out of recycled materials. Our goal is to get elementary kids and families outside and connecting with nature and community. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for kids in grades K-5; siblings welcome.
