Fanny is an IT consultant facing potential deportation to China due to her expiring H-1B visa. When she meets Jeff, a passive, unemployed introvert, she makes Jeff an offer to commit to a paper marriage for an easy grand a month so she can stay in the country.

While the two have clashing personalities, over the course of a year, while the two cohabitate and practice the details of their love story for the immigration authorities, they each overcome their differences and find the good in each other.

Jeff Man wrote, directed and starred in Paper Marriage. He has spent 15 years working with the Duplass Brothers, who produced this film.
