Meet your facilitators:
Kat
I am a singer-songwriter, certified yoga instructor, & passionate creative. I have facilitated chanting circles and community gatherings for years, and I deeply believe in the power of music to heal, connect, & ignite us.
My chanting journey began whilst living in a yoga ashram in North India, reciting simple mantras. I fell in love with the feeling of the sounds resonating through my body. Despite long days at the ashram and at times feeling stuck & exhausted, I always found that I felt lighter after chanting, more joyful and clear.
After living in India for six months, I travelled back to Australia and met my teacher and mentor Vicki Roussell. Vicki deepened my appreciation of music, and how sound & breath can support us to come into well-being. I have been practicing vocal techniques & embodied movement with Vicki for over 10 years now, participating in many retreats and ceremonies over that time.
It is my hope & intention that I can guide you back into the remembrance that sound is deeply alive and accessible in your being. And that coming together to sing, we can share our hearts and build a nurturing & loving space for community to thrive.
