🩺 68th E.S. Meyers Memorial Lecture
Featuring Glenn McGrath AM 🏏🩷
Location: Lecture Theatre 206, Level 2, Steele Building (03), UQ St Lucia Campus
The E.S. Meyers Memorial Lecture is UQMS’s flagship annual event, celebrating the life and legacy of Professor Errol Solomon Meyers a visionary founder of UQ Medicine and champion of public engagement in health.
This year, we are honoured to welcome Glenn McGrath AO as our guest speaker.
Glenn needs little introduction. Widely regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in cricket history, Glenn played 124 Tests and took 563 wickets for Australia in a career that spanned over 14 years. He was an integral part of the dominant Australian cricket team of the 1990s and 2000s and play a key role in multiple world cup victories. However his achievements off the cricket pitch may be even more impressive as he has co-founded the McGrath Foundation, a leading Australian charity that has funded over 260 specialist breast care nurses and supported more than 150,000 families affected by cancer.
From world-record cricket achievements to national health impact, Glenn’s story is one of resilience, purpose, and service on and off the field and we are excited to have him share his story with you all.
