De-Escalation Training for Volunteers and Rally Attendees

De-escalation is the use of communication or other techniques during an encounter to stabilize, slow or reduce the intensity of a potentially violent situation without using physical force, or with a reduction in force. So in basic terms, using communication to prevent and/or calm down a tense situation.

An expert in crisis management will lead a training giving you tips and takeaways to give you the tools you need if faced with a difficult, potentially violent interaction during these trying times. Handouts will be provided.
