The Scraper Bike Team is thrilled to announce the launch of our inaugural Scraper Bike Summer Camp! Get ready for an action-packed week from June 2nd to June 7th at The Shed @ Arroyo Viejo Park.
This groundbreaking 6-day camp will immerse participants in the vibrant legacy of the Scraper Bike movement. Through engaging and hands-on activities, young people will learn essential skills in:
Bike Safety: Mastering the rules of the road and safe riding practices.
Bike Customization: Unleashing their creativity and personal style to "scraperize" their very own bike.
Bike Mechanics: Gaining fundamental knowledge of bike maintenance and repair.
Safe Route Planning: Learning how to identify and navigate secure bike routes to and from events.
Each summer camp participant will receive a FREE BRAND NEW BIKE to customize and keep! We'll also provide free lunch throughout the week. To celebrate their achievements, campers will receive certificates at this year's East Oakland Futures Fest, happening on June 7th on the 90th Ave Scraper Bikeway. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity! Space is extremely limited, as we can only accept approximately 15 young people into this first-ever Scraper Bike Summer Camp.
