DIFFERENT LOCATION AND TIME THAN OUR SATURDAY EVENT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Come join host Daniel G. Van Olst at an open studio for all to flag, fan and flow at Little Boxes Theater - from 7-9pm.
There will be one-on-one instruction to a live DJ for anyone interested (or you can just flag if you don't want instruction). Flags will be available for use. All levels are welcome!! This will be a chance to practice and share what you know in a safe environment to learn, with flag-friendly music and black lights.
The location is the Little Boxes Theater (
https://littleboxestheater.com/). It is at 1661 Tennessee (Suite 2s) in San Francisco – near 3rd St. and Cesar Chavez. (Facebook may state that the address is 1699. It is not - it is 1661. There is a huge white "1661" over the front door, you can't miss it!)
There is a $10 suggested donation to cover the cost of the theater rental.
ACCESS: Look up "Little Boxes Theater" on the outside keypad and ring to be let in. Take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Follow the hallway to the end, where there is an option to go left or right. Go right almost to the end to Suite 2s on the right.
There will be signs to direct you on each step of the way.
PARKING: There is ample on-street parking. Parking across the street is an option. The spots are for the businesses, and are marked "No Parking", but no one has ever had a problem. Use at your own risk 🙂. Do not block any of the loading docks or doors.
TRANSIT: From the Powell Muni/Bart station, take the 15 Express Muni to 3rd and Marin. Little Boxes Theater is two short blocks away.

A word about Little Boxes Theater
Please bear with us and read this bit about Little Boxes Theater, and what we are asking all of you to do to support us.
This 2600 sq.ft. studio is maintained as a versatile entity, ready to facilitate dance, theater, drag & performance arts, circus, opera, film, and photography. At standard, the space is maintained as a crossover black box dance theater and production studio. We would encourage you to learn more about them at

It was difficult to find this space - many spaces have closed, and many remaining ones are quite full. We also have somewhat unique requirements - mirrors and a dark space are desirable.
LBT has these things, and so we would ask you to help us abide by these rules, and also gently educate other participants, so as to maintain good relations with them.
LEAVE NO TRACE: Please help return the theater the way we found it.
LIGHTS AND SOUND: Please do not touch the light and soundboard.
ACCESS: Please do not go upstairs.
