About the event

What is Truth - Lent Lectures 2026
The Roman governor asked Jesus 'What is truth?’ at his trial. This year’s Lent Lectures will explore Christian perspectives on truth in our own age, as fake news, internet algorithms and technological development rapidly and radically redefine how we understand the world around us. How might people of faith respond and flourish in this new context?

February 23rd - Anna McNamee

Chasing Truth: Fact, Fiction and the Media

An award-winning Canadian journalist and writer, Anna is Executive Director of the Sandford St Martin Trust, which promotes and celebrates excellence in religious broadcasting.

March 2nd – Revd Canon Dr Tim Bull

Faith and Artificial Intelligence: How worried should we be?

With a background in software engineering and higher education, Tim is Director of Ordinands in the Diocese of St Albans. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, a member of the Society of Ordained Scientists.

March 9th – Young people of the Cathedral in conversation with Revd Ross Meikle

Truth for the young
