We will be having a memorial break for Steve Maxwell at 2pm on Saturday. It was important to him that his ashes be spread at this facility and his sister asked that we do something special for him, which we are happy to do. Spectators are going to be free on Saturday as I don't want anyone to pay to come celebrate Steve. If Steve was a part of your life, we want you to come celebrate him. If SMP isn't your preferred track, set that aside, don't bring your car just come for steve's memorial. If you think I have a problem with you (I probably don't), trust that I will welcome you without any personal feelings as the day is Steve's. If you have a good story involving Steve, get on the mic and tell it. I hope to see all of Steve's friends and hear lots of his stories. Thank you.

With the new pavement making the return lane's location riskier we have 2 new rules that will be strictly enforced, there is no warning, these descriptions and the mandatory drivers meeting sign off is your warning.
Random Tandem = you get parked for the day
Drifting onto the return lane = you get parked for the day
Boards under jacks and jackstands.
Maintain traction anywhere off track.
5 MPH in pits 15 MPH on return road.
No more than 7 cars on track at 1 time.
5 lap limit on hot laps.
We unfortunately have to be stricter on the tow hook rule and some of the exceptions are being thrown out.
T E C H :
-Fire extinguisher
-Helmet - must cover sides and back of head, no bucket helmets.
-Battery tie down
-Seat belt or harness
-Properly mounted seat
-CONVERTIBLES MUST HAVE ROLL BAR
-Tow hook or tow strap on both ends of vehicle extending past bumpers and accessible WITHOUT removing panels OR getting underneath car!
-At least 1 headlight and 1 tail/brake light
