June Meeting - Highfield Park Walk and Talk

We are looking forward to next week’s meeting. We will be joined by Tim Abbott, Chair of the Highfield Park Trust, for an informative walk around the park. Tim will touch on many topics, including the history of the area, the fauna and flora in the park, the workings of the trust, and the recreational activities that they organise. Basically, something for everybody! The tour is likely to last about 90 minutes. Good walking shoes or boots are required!

The walk will start promptly at 7.30 pm from the visitors centre. Highfield Park Visitor Centre, Hill End Lane, AL4 0RA. There is a car park behind the building. What3Words ///choice.retire.loser

Tim will also have some of the Highfield Park’s organic apple juice, pressed from the park’s orchard, for sale at the end of the walk.

The weather is currently looking good, so for those that want to get there a bit earlier for a picnic, we will be there from 6.45. Bring along something to eat and something to sit on.
