This summer I am hosting two nature mindfulness movement series at the Thomas Township Nature Center and Preserve! Sign up is now open.
This exciting camp is designed for children to explore the great outdoors while practicing mindfulness, yoga, and fun-filled activities. Set in a peaceful natural environment, campers will have the opportunity to connect with nature, improve physical health, and boost mental well-being.
Throughout the camp, children will engage in age-appropriate yoga sessions that focus on balance, flexibility, strength, and relaxation. We combine these sessions with nature hikes, games, and creative outdoor activities like journaling, art, and scavenger hunts. Each day is designed to inspire a love of nature and encourage personal growth while fostering teamwork and a sense of mindfulness.
What to Expect:
Daily Yoga Practice: Gentle, beginner-friendly yoga designed for kids, with emphasis on breathwork, movement, and relaxation.
Nature Exploration: Guided walks and nature activities that help kids connect with their surroundings, from exploring local plants to observing wildlife.
Creative Expression: Art and craft projects inspired by nature, fostering creativity and self-expression.
Mindfulness and Meditation: Techniques that help children focus, reduce stress, and develop emotional resilience.
Healthy Snacks and Outdoor Fun: Nourishing snacks and outdoor games to keep kids energized and active.
Who Is It For? This camp is perfect for kids aged Preschool-2nd Grade, regardless of yoga experience.
