Greater Sacramento Urban League - Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk

Join us for our annual Juneteenth Freedom Run/Walk. The event honors June 19 1865 the date federal troops arrived in Galveston Texas to ensure all enslaved people were freed. The run/walk signifies the time between the Emancipation Proclamation signing and this historic date. This fun FREE event is a great way to socialize get some exercise enjoy the outdoors and learn about the history of Juneteenth. The freedom run/walk will be held on Saturday June 21st at William Land Park starting at 8:00 a.m.
