HHY & The Kampala Unit (Uganda/Portugal) explore the mutations of rhythmic intensity and sonic depth, where funk, techno, dub, martial horns, and ecstatic percussion are all set against a backdrop of haunting cinematic sequences. Properly a feast for the ear and eye. Their latest release 'Lithium Blast' lures us into a layered synesthetic world soaked in sci-fi atmosphere. Physical in its deliverance and highly evocative, all tracks are a gorgeous blending of cerebral virtuosity, cosmic creativity, raw energy and visceral sensuality that is majestically sculpted with haunting marching sounds, percussive rhythms, variations and reprises against cascading electronics and rich, technicolor textures.
