Isakaya is a six-piece high-energy neo-soul band based in Amsterdam, comprising very experienced musicians with a rich background in live performances. United by shared passion for creating soul-stirring music, Isakaya plays their own music with honesty and fierce musical chemistry.
“‘Isakaya’ is the Japanese title for a small,
intimate restaurant, typically seating only five to seven customers. Just as in these intimate restaurants, we make the stage our own ‘Isakaya’ -where we eat, play, and simply are ourselves, totally involved in the joy of making music. Our performances are an invitation to our listeners to come into our world, be a part of our passion, and experience music from the inside.
