Sliding scale contribution
We introduce a sliding scale contribution, so we can pay the increasing prices of everything and still be affordable for people who have less to spend.
If you can afford to help us, your higher contribution is very much appreciated. All of this is used to cover the expenses, mainly rent of the studio and honorarium for the teacher and musician.
Workshop (including jam) : €10.00 to €30.00
Jam only : €5.00 to €12.00
Pre-register and pay
You can register via the website:
https://www.contactzone.nl/upcoming. You will receive instructions via e-mail in response to pay with a Tikkie or bank transfer. That saves you and us time and hassle in the studio.
It is also possible to participate spontaneously and to come to the studio without prior registration and to pay cash or digitally.
Practical
Everyone is welcome, beginner, advanced or something in between. For beginners it is advisable to also participate in the workshop if you want to come to the jam.
The studio is within walking distance of Rotterdam Central. If you come by car, you may find a parking space via the site prettig parkeren:
https://www.prettigparkeren.nl/kaart/#!Rotterdam/Schoterbosstraat_17/Zondag/14:00/. You can also park on the edge of the city and take a tram for the last stretch.
Frequently asked advice about clothing
It works best if you choose flexible clothing that is soft, without buttons and zippers, stays in place and covers you sufficiently. We dance without shoes.
Some wear soft dancing shoes or knee pads.
Potluck
The communal dinner is optional, you're welcome to join if you like. Please bring something to contribute, just a little more than you'd eat yourself. Vegetarian and vegan food would be best so everybody can share.
