Join us for an evening of music and giving to support Second Wind Dreams' "Gifts of Light" program. All tips collected by the performer, Heavyn Leigh, will be donated, along with 10% of all sales from Deep Roots.
There will be a fun raffle with amazing prizes!
Please bring personal care items for senior citizens - i.e. blankets, scarves, socks, large print crossword, lotions, etc.
About the Charity:
Second Wind Dreams is an internationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to change the perception of aging. Through its "Dreams" and "Gifts of Light" programs, the organization enriches the lives of seniors and those with neurodiverse populations by empowering them to live and age with dignity, hope, and joy.
The "Gifts of Light" program specifically aims to ensure that no elder living in a long-term care facility feels forgotten during the holiday season. The program allows volunteers to "adopt" elders and provide them with holiday gifts and visits, brightening their lives during a time when they might otherwise feel lonely or neglected.
About the Artist
Heavyn Leigh, who has been performing since the age of 9, is an amazing local singer/songwriter. She has performed at Deep Roots many times and always wows the audience! She is a classically trained vocalist and self-trained musician whose voice is pure magic. Heavyn is passionate about this cause and hopes to bring awareness by sharing her experiences with us!
