Olympic Tavern x Pig Minds x Big Grove Collab Tapping: Golden Taniwha

Join us on Thursday June 12th as we tap into our newest collab brew with our friends Pig Minds and Big Grove -- GOLDEN TANIWHA. We'll have Golden Taniwha on tap and in 4pk cans to-go, and you can meet our buddies from Pig Minds and Big Grove for a few pints at the bar between 6-9pm. This is a BYO didgeridoo party.

So what's the beer all about? Here's the description directly from Chris, head brewer @ Pig Minds:
"Introducing 𝐆𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐰𝐡𝐚 — our brand new 𝘕𝘦𝘸 𝘡𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥-𝘚𝘵𝘺𝘭𝘦 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘪𝘭𝘴𝘯𝘦𝘳 brewed in collaboration with our friends at 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐲 and 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐜 𝐓𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧!⁣⁣⁣⁣

This 7% ABV crusher features 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 New Zealand hop varietals — 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐤𝐚, 𝗪𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐮, 𝗪𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐚, and 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐮𝐯𝐢𝐧 — layered over a crisp lager base. We fermented it with 𝐋𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡, a thiolized yeast strain that boosts vibrant aromatics reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc. After 8 weeks of lagering, the result is a bright, aromatic pilsner bursting with notes of 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐮𝐢𝐭, 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐯𝐚, and signature NZ Sauv Blanc fruitiness.⁣⁣⁣"

PS: A taniwha is a mythical creature from NZ, very similar to the Loch Ness monster. ⁣
