Bookeater Reading Series with Michael Backus

Friends, I'm so excited that my dear friend Michael Backus (based in Albuquerque, New Mexico) will be in Rochester to read from his new book, THE HEART IS MEAT: AN 80s MEMOIR on Tuesday, October 14th 7:00 PM (EDT)—door open at 6:30 PM.

Mike and I were in a writing group together for years when we both lived in NYC. This is a memoir of some of his time in NYC, when he worked in the Meatpacking District.

I hope you can join us at Bookeater!! Mike is a terrific writer and reader and I'd love to get a good crowd for his reading. I'll be in conversation with him that night as part of the evening's program.
