Looking for the best summer camp for kids who love animals? Animal Kids Camp 2025 presents Future Vets, Saving Pets!—a hands-on veterinary summer camp where children explore animal care, behavior, and rescue in a fun, interactive setting.
This STEM-based animal camp for kids combines veterinary science, humane education, and pet care through daily lessons, creative projects, and real-world experiences with animals. Perfect for aspiring veterinarians, animal lovers, and curious young minds, this camp teaches kids how animals are cared for in shelters, veterinary clinics, farms, and wildlife sanctuaries.
Campers will:
-Observe a live spay or neuter surgery (based on availability)
-Learn how veterinarians care for animals
-Interact with adoptable shelter pets, practicing gentle handling and building empathy
-Gain insight into the basics of animal behavior and training through fun, age-appropriate activities
-Meet a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, farm animals, and local wildlife
-Hear directly from veterinarians, veterinary technicians, animal trainers, and rescue professionals
-Create enrichment toys and crafts that benefit shelter animals
-Discover how to become an advocate for animals and make a positive impact in your community

Camp is for children ages 6 -13
