Slump Glass Vase with Barbara Neale

$75 + $35 materials fee

These vases can be used as candle holders or flower displays. Using an 8X8 square, you will design your own unique vision. The designs will then be fused. Fused glass, also known as warm glass, is not glass blowing, it is cutting and overlapping glass that will be melted in a kiln into a solid piece. No prior experience is needed as we will go over some basics of glass prior to the actual hands on.

In this 5-hour workshop, students will create their own 8X8 design. Bring your own design or picture of flowers, animals or use the templates that will be provided for each cutting as well as a set of tools to be used during the class. Several glass colors and combos will be available to choose from for your own unique color palette. Once assembled, your creation will be placed in the kiln for firing and then slumped over a form to create the vase. You will be able to pick up your finished creation within 2 weeks.

Please bring a brown bag and some water, we will break for 30 minutes.


~ About the Artist ~
Barbara has been doing Macrame on and off for many years. Her work has always been for friends and family. She has completed wall hangings, bracelets, and a guitar strap specially requested after seeing some of her gifts. We are happy that she is joining us to share her knowledge.
