Oration and Studio Emissary are proud to present Ascension MMXXV.
Ascension festival prides itself on offering an eclectic, esoteric and wholly unique experience, with a strong emphasis on Icelandic and international Black metal.
The festival will take place at Hlégarður in Mosfellbær, November 13th - 15th 2025. We're delighted return to this venue, which hosted us for our first edition in 2019 and last edition in 2024. We believe it to be the perfect venue for our festival, one that provides all we need to execute our vision to the highest of standards. We very much so consider it the spiritual home of Ascension. And it's not just the venue itself either, it's location provides the perfect setting for our winter celebration. Located just outside the city limits, the venue is located within close range of all needed services and amenities, while providing a serene natural setting surrounded by mountains and the desolate, unearthly landscapes Iceland has come to be known for.
Mosfellsbær, the town where the venue is located, is a suburb of the greater Reykjavík area and is approximately a 20 minute drive from Reykjavík city-centre, or a 35 minute bus-ride via public transport. The option of taking a shuttle bus is also be available.
Ascension 2025 is a winter event, giving you a chance to witness first hand the arctic phenomena of the aurora borealis. Join us once again in this jubilant celebration of Ascension!
