Marvel at the Moon

Earth would be lost without the Moon.

Join us for a fun, hands-on look at our lunar neighbor! We’ll bust common moon myths, explore its wild origin story, and discover how the Moon has shaped life on Earth. Then, view the Moon up close through a telescope and see it like never before.

When: 8:00 pm

Where: West Contrabando Trailhead

What: Bring your own chair or blanket, water bottle, and dress for the weather.

Program is weather dependent. Please call our office during operating hours (8:00 AM-4:30 PM) to check the status of the program.

Cost: Program is free with your purchase of day use entrance fees, $5.00 for adults, children under 12 are free. You can use your TSPP to waive your entrance fee pass. Obtained passes online or at the Fort Leaton SHS or Barton Warnock VC.
