Heritage Open Days weekend Saturday (9am) and Sunday from 12.15

We are also opening on Sunday afternoon also after our Meeting for Worship. We are situated in a small village of east Lancashire in the Limey Valley of Rossendale. We recently had the stable underneath the cottage converted to have an accessible toilet for wheelchair users and baby change facilities and a new kitchen replaces the previous site in the small Meeting room also, giving more space there. The original Meeting House has low beamed ceilings built in 1716 and the main Meeting room was added later in 1736 by creating a wooden partition below the gallery above which is our library and reading room. It's architecture and vernacular appearance plays an important part in our heritage and an important part for early Friends in the northwest of England and there is also a Burial ground dated 1663 at Chapel Hill above Rawtenstall. The garden at the Meeting House offers a place of peace and tranquility.
