We hear music everyday, but how often do we truly listen?
Field Notes is a full-body album listening experience designed for you to hear great albums the way they’re intended to be heard – with zero distractions, on vinyl, and through the highest quality sound system.
On Friday 7th November, join us in our cosy yoga room in listening to Villager’s intimate, award-winning third studio album, ‘Darling Arithmetic’.
A unique collective listening experience, you are invited in this calm, screen-free space to slow down, tune in, and take note – what can we find when we really pay attention?
Launched with Sinéad O’Connor’s ‘The Lion and The Cobra’, followed by Lisa Hannigan’s ‘At Swim’, Field Notes is a four-part series in which we’ll listen to one carefully chosen Irish album in its entirety through our custom Hatchett Sound System, designed and built by Toby Hatchett (The Big Romance, Fidelity).
Each session is guided by artist and facilitator Maria Kelly, who will gently lead you through somatic grounding and journaling exercises before the listening begins. Lie down – supported by bolsters, blankets, and eye masks – settle into your surroundings, and just listen.
Final date and album of first series of Field Notes:
Friday 28th Nov: Fionn Regan – The End of History
Final date for Field Notes is on sale now. Spaces are limited. Early booking is advised.
Accessibility:
Segotia is a wheelchair-accessible venue. While participants are invited to lie down for this experience, we are happy to make adjustments for any additional access needs – just let us know when booking.
