1. Dublin Book Festival

Running from November 6-10, 2024, across various Dublin venues the Dublin Book Festival is a must-attend event for book lovers and literature people. It features over 60 such as author readings, panel discussions and workshops. It’s a great opportunity to engage with the literary community and enjoy a range of family-friendly activities. The fest is supported by the Arts Council and celebrates Irish storytelling and provides a welcoming space for all book fans.


2. Bram Stoker Festival

This vibrant festival features a mix of literary, cultural, and family-friendly events inspired by Gothic themes and Victorian Dublin. The Bram Stoker Festival is held from October in Dublin, celebrates the legacy of Bram Stoker, author of "Dracula." With activities spread across various Dublin venues, the festival aims to engage audiences of all ages with both thrilling adventures and late-night experiences. Sponsored by Dublin City Council, the festival invites bold, creative event proposals and attracts tens of thousands of visitors each year.


3. Rocktoberfest 2024

The festival will feature craft beers from top Irish and German breweries, including To Øl and Weihenstephaner Festbier. Rocktoberfest 2024 in Dublin promises a fantastic day of beer and music in at Rascals Brewery & Pizza Restaurant in Inchicore. Here you can enjoy live rock and alternative music from DJs like Joe Donnelly and Colleen Heavey. And that too while indulging in Rascals' award-winning pizzas and Dietmar’s pretzels. Tickets include a reusable cup and an optional free brewery tour, making it a must-visit event for beer and music lovers in Dublin.


4. Dublin Festival of History

The opening weekend will be hosted at the Printworks at Dublin Castle. The festival is now in its twelfth year focuses on Irish history and includes contributions from both national and international historians. The Dublin Festival of History is running from September celebrating Dublin's rich past with various events across the city. This includes talks, tours, workshops and exhibitions. Designed to engage a broad audience it features both in-person and online events.


5. The Big Grill

This festival features live fire cooking with top chefs from Ireland and around the world showcasing their skills. The Big Grill , Europe's largest BBQ and food festival is set to take place from August at Herbert Park in Dublin. Attendees can indulge in a variety of BBQ dishes, craft beers and other culinary delights while enjoying live music and fun activities, including a chili-eating contest. Families are welcome with a special "Little Grillers" area for children, who can attend for free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available online for different days and activities making The Big Grill a must-visit for food and BBQ enthusiasts.
