Celebration of Life - Babs Kunkle

Join us to celebrate the life of Babs Kunkle at Station House 726 in Downtown Puyallup.
“Babbette Kunkle passed away peacefully on March 19th at the age of 82 surrounded by her family and closest friends. Babs was born on March 14th, 1943, and raised in Edgewood, Washington. She graduated from Fife High School and Green River College. She raised her own family in Puyallup and worked at Good Samaritan Hospital until retiring. Anyone who knew this spunky, highly driven spirit knows she lived her life to the fullest. If she wasn’t working in her garden, she was traveling or kayaking. Babs traveled to over 45 countries both on her own and with friends. She also traveled around the U.S. with her granddaughter and family. Babs was a trailblazer in her community. She worked to create the Washington Water Trails with her Kayak community and was involved in the Puyallup arts community, recently receiving the Arts Downtown Legacy Award. Her donated sculpture, "A Beautiful Night" can be enjoyed next to the Puyallup Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PBS or Habitat for Humanity.”
