This class is a refuge—a weekly invitation to come home to yourself. Trauma-informed yoga honors your body, your pace, and your lived experience. Through gentle movement, grounding breathwork, and supportive somatic practices, you'll begin to rebuild trust with your body and find a sense of steadiness within.
Each week, we rotate through six core themes designed to meet you where you are—whether you're healing from trauma, navigating stress, or simply longing to feel more grounded and whole. These include grounding and resourcing, understanding how trauma lives in the body, release and emotional processing, integration, empowerment and choice, and compassionate closure.
To deepen the healing experience, we incorporate EMDR-informed practices using sound bowls. The gentle, rhythmic tones of the bowls support bilateral stimulation, helping to reprocess stored experiences and bring the nervous system into balance. It’s a subtle yet powerful way to promote emotional clarity, integration, and calm—without needing to relive or retell your story.
What you’ll receive:
A nervous system reset through slow, intentional movement
EMDR-inspired sound therapy to support emotional processing
Practical tools for regulation you can take into daily life
A deeper sense of agency, self-trust, and embodied awareness
A space rooted in safety, choice, and compassion
The healing support of a community that honors your journey
Each class is co-facilitated by an experienced yoga teacher and an MSW trauma-certified clinician, offering both somatic and trauma-informed support. No prior yoga experience is needed—only a willingness to breathe, feel, and gently show up for yourself. This class is about finding peace within, one breath at a time. You are already whole—and you are welcome here.
