The Rhode Island Festival of Children's Books & Authors returns to Lincoln School on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This beloved annual celebration brings together a stellar lineup of award-winning authors and illustrators from around the country for a joyful day of reading, creativity, and community.
This year’s featured guests include Caldecott Medalist Vashti Harrison, Caldecott Honoree Brian Lies, Newbery Medalist Erin Entrada Kelly, Newbery Honor author Gary Schmidt, and Pura Belpré Award winner Yuyi Morales. Also in attendance will be Jane O’Connor, author of the Fancy Nancy series, and Robin Preiss Glasser, the series’ illustrator. Additional guests include Tom Angleberger, JooHee Yoon*, Valerie Bolling and Casey Robinson*. Local authors and illustrators Hannah Chung (Bread Days) and Gaia Cornwall (Jabari Jumps) will also take part in the festivities. (*Local authors/illustrators are marked with an asterisk.)
