Learn how to protect your digital life and keep your online presence safe with expert tips and tools.

In this workshop we will be discussing tools and knowledge that survivors can use to safeguard their personal information online. We will review what types of technology and information creates a digital footprint and identify resources to assist in cyber safety and security.



Objectives:
  • Identify key components of a digital footprint and explain how everyday technology use contributes to it.
  • Demonstrate practical strategies survivors can use to safeguard their personal information online.
  • Locate and utilize at least two trusted resources that support ongoing cyber safety and digital security.



Facilitated by:

Erin Oliveira is a dynamic professional with a strong foundation in psychology and a diverse background spanning education, advocacy, and legal support services. Currently pursuing an MBA at Eastern University, Erin brings nearly a decade of experience working with youth, families, and vulnerable populations in trauma-informed settings. Her roles have included School-Based Advocate at Sojourner House, Forensic Interviewer for the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, and Parent Educator with Connecting for Children and Families, where she designed and delivered evidence-based programming and support. Erin’s expertise also extends to legal administration, case management, crisis intervention, and curriculum development. In addition to her human services work, she is the owner and lead vocalist of EO Music. With certifications in forensic interviewing, crisis prevention, and early childhood education, Erin blends empathy, organization, and creativity to make a meaningful impact in every role she undertakes.

Juwan Cook (he/him) brings his experience in equity and inclusion and youth work as a School Based Advocate for Sojourner House. His passion for equity and love for helping empower youth has drawn him to mission-driven work over the years to create systems change. Before joining Sojourner House Juwan worked as the Manager of Youth Development where he helped coached and mentored youth to become conduits of change within their communities. Juwan is currenlty prusuing a MBA in Youth Devlopment at Rhode Island College. If he’s not enjoying one of his favorite restaurants, you’ll likely find him in a Dungeons and Dragons session, playing video games, or listening to his favorite vinyl records.
